20+ years of friendship… the crazy thing with age, so much has happened, but at the same time it feels like the party era was only just the other day. Bit bigger, bit slower, less recovery… at least the banter is still there. Slightly wiser too (not exactly setting the bar high).
WA was awesome, it reminds me of what QLD used to be (now that it’s evolved/grown), in the best possible way. Spacious, unspoiled beaches, friendly people that love being outdoors. It’s a slower pace of life compared to the busy cities on the East coast, and a throw back to the quintessential ‘Australian lifestyle’.
Margaret River as a wine region was brilliant, definitely holds its own against the best that Aus has to offer. Massive properties coupled with regional hospitality, and a selection of uniquely styled Chardonnay and Cab Sav, amongst others.
Look forward to getting back and seeing more of what it has to offer.
